Global Shipping Association (GSA) is Your Furniture Importing Specialist. While your current volume does not justify signing a service contract for your imports, joining GSA will give the benefits of having your own contract.
What makes GSA different? • Direct Service Contracts You are listed on the service contract as a member of the Association, which gives you and your supplier direct access to carriers. • Single Bill of Lading (MBL) A MBL is issued by the carrier, which will reduce the problem of a missing or lost House Bill of Lading (HBL). • Group Negotiations Group negotiating allows not only lower rates, but also enables you to derive other benefits, such as, longer free time and caps on surcharges. • Consistent Pricing Rates are all inclusive: Peak Season Surcharge, Fuel Surcharge and Bunker Fuel; Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF). • Loading Priority You will be directly listed on the service contract; therefore, you are the ship line’s customer, not Freight Forwarder/NVO.
Full Container For Full Container Loads (FCL), Global Shippers Association offers direct service with global coverage for imports and exports. Our multi-carrier network allows us to offer coverage for direct containers to retailers, manufacturers and markets. Less Than Container For Less Than Container (LCL), we have a network of global partners that are able to provide both air and ocean services. Trucking Some of the services provided by GSA are: Full Truck Loads (FTL) , Less than Truck Loads (LTL) and Container drayage. Customs Brokerage We are able to work with the current customer's broker. In addition, GSA has a network of brokers that we can recommend to meet individual needs. Many brokers prefer to work with GSA, because they have direct access to the carriers and will not have to depend upon Freight Forwarders/NVO’s to pass on information. Maritime Insurance GSA recommends maritime insurance protection on all shipments. Liability for carriers is limited to $500 per container. For pennies on the dollar, we can offer Association members 110% covererage, door-to-door.
